My academic career
Here I share the training courses that complemented my undergraduate degree and how they integrate into my professional practice.
After graduating, I sought to deepen my knowledge in organizational psychology, aiming to broaden my understanding of the work environment. Although clinical practice was my primary focus, this training allowed me to better understand the dynamics of organizations and, consequently, the experiences of clients within this context, addressing issues such as burnout and occupational stress.
My second degree is in neuropsychology, an area that provides me with a deeper understanding of the functioning of the central nervous system and its relationship to behavior. This training enriches my clinical practice and allows me to share relevant information with clients, helping them understand issues such as attention and memory difficulties.
Social psychology has always sparked my interest, ever since my undergraduate studies. It was in this area that, in collaboration with my group, we developed our undergraduate thesis. This work was selected and published as a book chapter by the Regional Council of Psychology of Minas Gerais in 2024. This experience solidified my commitment to the production of knowledge and provided me with a critical and reflective perspective on human relations and social phenomena, such as prejudice and social inequality.
You can find the book at this link (Chapter 10, page 168):
Training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) deepened my knowledge of this approach, strengthening my confidence and effectiveness in clinical practice, and assisting in the management of issues such as anxiety and depression.
Currently, I am seeking to enhance my knowledge in emotional intelligence, which complements my previous training and improves my career guidance services, assisting in the development of skills such as leadership and team management.
